The idea

Ask a single AI a tough question and you get one confident answer — with no sense of what it glossed over. Munazara fixes that by making the disagreement visible.

  • Two debaters — AIs from different companies (say, OpenAI vs. Google) take opposing sides and argue across a few rounds.
  • A neutral judge — a third AI, from a company that isn't debating, reads everything and delivers a clear verdict: what both sides agreed on, what stayed unresolved, and a final recommendation with a confidence score.
  • Live, word by word — you watch the argument unfold in real time instead of waiting for a block of text.

The name Munazara (مناظرہ) is the classical word for a formal scholarly debate — two sides, agreed rules, and the goal of finding where the real disagreement lives.

Why it's genuinely useful

One real example: someone got a car service estimate — a long list of repairs, some clearly needed, some that looked like padding. "Trust all of it" or "trust none of it" both felt wrong. They ran the estimate through Munazara. The two AIs sorted every line item into must-do, probably up-sell, and safe to wait — then challenged each other's calls. The judge produced a checklist with reasoning attached to each item, which became the basis for getting a fairer second quote.

That's the sweet spot: a messy set of claims where one opinion isn't enough and you want the disagreement made explicit.
